These short black rib-knit socks are made from top-quality silk of controlled origin. They are specifically knitted with a non-compressive ribbing to fit your legs in all circumstances. The overlocking of the ribbing accentuates the delicate, feminine look.
Silk is an air-conditioning material: socks are cool and light in summer and warm in winter. They are soft, velvety to the touch and particularly comfortable.
Hand-tied without sewing, this finish is particularly meticulous and appreciated. As the silk used is particularly sensitive to rubbing, the heel and toe are reinforced with an additional thread of Scottish yarn, resulting in a strong product and considerably increased longevity.
Inscriptions "Soie" at the toe and "Berthe Aux Grands Pieds" under the foot knitted directly when the sock is made.
These short silk socks are made exclusively in France by Manufacture Perrin 1924 in Montceau-les-Mines (71).
