A prestigious brand, Borsalino manages its production from A to Z, from the making of the hair to the finishing of the hat. It is this particularity that allows the brand to guarantee daring models with quality workmanship
Many consider Borsalino to be the world's thinnest hat manufacturer
In the stifling heat of the Italian manufacturer's workshop, at the back of an industrial zone in Alessandria, the expert hands of the employees stretch, press, iron and sew the felt, which will go through 70 stages before taking its final shape. "The hat is raw material, steam, hot water and a lot of manual labour," says one employee. The machines are a hundred years old, the work is handcrafted from wooden moulds and the controls are meticulous. For Borsalino, the challenge is to install its felts permanently among the luxury accessories
Immortalized by the films "Borsalino" and "Borsalino and Co" in the 70's with Alain Delon and Jean-Paul Belmondo, the company always devotes part of its efforts to appear on famous heads, those of Bruce Willis or Johnny Deep lately, after that of Michael Jackson. In addition, the company has formed partnerships with TV series and presents its collections at major fashion shows, such as the Pitti Uomo in Florence and Magic International in Las Vegas.
The famous Italian house offers a wide range of hats for men and women, but also high-end accessories such as scarves and leather goods
