New trends for back-to-school 2019

The trendy shape for this season: the bucket hat 

You've surely noticed, but the bucket hat has been making a comeback for several seasons now. As practical in summer as it is in winter, it also suits both men and women, pleasing the greatest number! You'll find the bucket hat made of wool or fleece to keep you warm while adding style.

For this back-to-school season, we recommend opting for the 80s-90s bucket hat with a visible logo, for a vintage and modern look. For an even more wintery feel, we recommend it in faux fur, like the English brand Kangol, for a guaranteed retro and streetwear look!

The colors of the season 

For other shapes, everything is possible. Styles like the sailor cap, newsboy cap and the beret remain must-haves that you can easily pull out of your wardrobe. The same goes for fedora hats and the wide-brimmed hat in wool felt. As for colors to adopt, forget black (even though we know it's a safe choice) and other more neutral tones. You'll have the option to choose colors in pastel shades that add a touch of color without being too bright, such as pink, blue, or even mustard yellow.

Leather or faux leather 

Already present on the catwalks of the previous season's shows, leather hasn't finished surprising us with its rock and chic side. You'll have the choice between genuine leather or imitation, so this material can only please you. You can find it on jackets, pants, and of course on your favorite hats. This material also follows the western trend of last season, so you can choose to fully embrace it with a leather hat in cowboy style, matching it with your cowboy boots. Or stay more understated by opting for, for example, a beret or a sailor-style cap or newsboy cap, in black or brown leather, easier to wear and match with your winter outfits. You can also opt for models with leather details if you prefer simple but equally trendy accessories.

Denim 

Denim is also making a big comeback, riding the trend of the 80s-90s, with many fashion pieces sporting this vintage material. You'll find it on handbags, as patchwork on pants, jackets, and of course, on your heads. The cap seems to be the most suitable and appreciated shape for this new trend. But you'll still have a choice, with different shapes like the baseball cap, flat cap, newsboy cap... The French brand Béton Ciré is riding this trend, particularly with its revisited Breton cap and bucket hat models, a real favorite! It's also a piece that can be worn in both winter and summer, we love it!

Trendy patterns 

Plaid print

The safe bet that will never let you down! Every year, plaid print makes its big comeback, in different colors and tones to always surprise us. For this season, we advise you to wear it in dark tones like brown, taupe, beige, and black with small touches of color like green and red. You can easily pair it with a simple or more sophisticated outfit. But you can be sure to never commit a fashion faux pas with this print.

Animal print 

Already present for several seasons, we never tire of this print. Whether in summer or winter, it's always trendy. We find it practically everywhere, whether on accessories, clothing, and other items. For hats, you'll find it in a total look, leopard or panther print, or simply with an outer grosgrain ribbon in a leopard fabric.
