Where does the Beret Manufacture come from

Mr. Denis Guédon, who is the former technical director of BEATEX (Laulhère), decided in 2011 to create the BERET MANUFACTURE following the threat of relocation of the last French beret manufacturer. He dedicates his production to the traditional beret, the beret that protects from the weather while maintaining the qualities of fineness, flexibility, softness that only a few French manufacturers knew how to produce. "MADE IN FRANCE" should not just be a label! It must be visible, tangible. The symbol of the Beret Manufacture consists of two red bulls on a yellow label.

He designs a range of berets intended for men but, for some, have quickly been adopted by their ladies. He also offers the universal beret which can be adjusted to fit each head or the cap beret. All the berets from the Manufacture are made from the finest merino wool to achieve a "scarf" quality felt with a very fine grain, soft, supple, and naturally waterproof without any chemical process. This beret does not shrink and does not pill.

Care instructions for the Beret Manufacture Beret

•  Machine washing or hand washing is not allowed 
•  Dry cleaning gives good results
•  A small drawback of the beret, especially when it's new and black, is that it very easily captures dust, textile fibers, and all kinds of hair
•  To get rid of dust, a simple clothes brush is sufficient, but it's not the same for textile fibers or hair, especially if the cat has lain in or on your beret. 

You can also clean your beret withsticky tape like packing tape, dab your beret. The hairs will stick to the adhesive and the beret will become like new. No scotch tape. Otherwise, usethe palm of your hand that you moisten with water, then you rub the surface of the beret and the hairs will gather into a ball and the beret will be clean.

Generally, we talk about the small tail of the beret which is called "lou cabillou" in Béarnais. This word actually refers to a small peg.
