The Nylamtium (170Gr/m² double layer) that makes up the hat is crafted from snag-proof Supplex nylon fabric, highly resistant, water-repellent, lightweight and quick-drying. It's a lifetime guaranteed hat against wear! The remarkable lightness of this hat combined with a 3/4 inch ventilation mesh on top of the crown offers great comfort during hot weather and protects against sunstroke! Moreover, this Tilley LTM6 hat, like other Tilley hats, has a maximum sun protection factor of UPF 50+.
It's also a hat that effectively shelters you from rain thanks to polyester and cotton threads that swell when wet, ensuring total waterproofing. Finally, it's a hat that won't get lost thanks to its chin cord and high floatation.

You'll certainly appreciate this feature, especially in hot and humid weather. When buying a Tilley hat, you should choose one size larger than your usual size. Indeed, gravity is what keeps the hat in place! There should be enough space between the front of the hat and your forehead to easily slip two fingers. Similarly, you should be able to pivot the hat from left to right and tilt it from front to back without feeling any friction on your forehead.
