The features that differentiate it from the LTM5 are: a higher crown and wider brims for increased face coverage. It's a sun hat with exceptional lightness and durability.
The underside of the brims are green to avoid sun glare effects on your face.
The Nylamtium (170g/m² in double thickness) that makes up the hat is made from a snag-proof Supplex nylon canvas, highly resistant, water-repellent, lightweight, and quick-drying. It's a hat guaranteed for life against wear! The remarkable lightness of this hat combined with a 3/4 inch ventilation mesh on top of the crown offers you great comfort during hot weather and protects you from sunstroke! Moreover, this Tilley LTM6 hat, like other Tilley hats, has a maximum sun protection index of UPF 50+.
The AIRFLO hat advantage: The mesh is sewn in a snag-proof way, the polyester and cotton threads swell when wet, which makes the visible needle holes watertight. How to know if your Tilley LTM6 hat fits properly?

That's why it's very important that they fit your size properly. A Tilley hat should be worn low and not too tight. You'll probably appreciate this feature, especially in hot and humid weather.
When buying a Tilley hat, you should choose one size larger than your usual size.
Indeed, it's gravity that keeps the hat in place! There should be enough space between the front of the hat and your forehead to easily slip two fingers. Similarly, you should be able to pivot the hat from left to right and tilt it from front to back without feeling any friction on your forehead.
