The Nylamtium (170Gr/m² double layer) that makes up the hat is crafted from a run-resistant Supplex nylon fabric, very durable, water-repellent, lightweight and quick-drying. It's a hat guaranteed for life against wear!
The remarkable lightness of this hat combined with a 3/4 inch ventilation mesh on the top of the crown offers you great comfort in high heat and protects you from sunstroke!
Furthermore, like all Tilley models, this hat has a maximum sun protection rating of UPF 50+.

How do you know if your Tilley hat fits properly?
Tilley hats are designed for maximum comfort! That's why it's very important that they fit your size properly. They should therefore be worn low and not too tight. You will surely appreciate this feature, especially in hot and humid weather. When you buy a Tilley hat, you should take one size larger than your usual size.
Indeed, it's gravity that keeps the hat on! There must be enough space between the front of the hat and the forehead to easily slip two fingers. Similarly, you should be able to rotate the hat from left to right and tilt it from front to back without feeling friction on your forehead.
