Pork Pie Larkin hat
A shantung "straw" hat is made from high-performance paper rolled into a fine woven yarn, a process perfected by the Japanese in 610 A.D. This process is an alternative to panama and has been nicknamed the "Shantung Panama". Shantungs are finely woven, with the exclusive LiteStraw® finish to provide a supple, waterproof feel and improved shape retention. The hat features a 1x1 top-of-the-range Shantung weave.
