Entretien du chapeau en cuir - 3 solutions
1- talcum powder
Sprinkle talcum powder over the spot with a brush or shaving brush. Once the talc has completely absorbed the oil stain, all you have to do is dust it off. You can do this several times to remove the stain.
2- Ammonia
Remove the greasy stain with a cloth soaked in slightly diluted ammonia. Ammonia is best tested beforehand, using a cotton bud moistened with ammonia on a hidden spot such as the inside edge. If any color appears on the swab, or the fabric is altered, dilute the ammonia.
3 - Marseille soap
Rub the greasy stain with barely moistened Marseille soap to form a kind of crust on the leather. Leave the soap to act for about 30 minutes. Then emulsify.
