Preserving and handling your hat

Hat handling tips:

The secret to a long-lasting hat lies in how you handle it.

• Never handle it with dirty hands (especially greasy hands). Indeed, it's a sure way to damage it quickly by leaving stains.
• Always pick up your hat from underneath, at the front and back of the brim to maintain its shape.
• The hat stand is the ideal support to maintain your hat's shape. It also allows for proper maintenance and easy handling.
• If you don't have a hat stand, avoid placing your headwear on flat surfaces, especially those with curved edges.
• Avoid hanging your hat on a coat rack or you'll end up with a bump in your hat.
• Similarly, we recommend turning up the brim of the hat when you set it down to avoid deforming it. Or alternatively, you can let it rest upside down (on its crown). Taking the example of trilbies with lowered front brims, it's best to keep them on the crown to avoid having a hat with a deformed front section. Deformed parts are often due to poor storage and sometimes impossible to straighten out.

With these instructions, you can keep your hat in good condition and it will remain as beautiful as it was on day one.
