This beret shape model was manufactured before the industrialization of berets until the early 20th century.
This headwear was abandoned because it is very delicate to manufacture in series due to the fact that it is impossible to store it between manufacturing steps without causing unsightly creases and marks.
Only the Beret Manufacture offers this model; it's a real shame because it is extremely comfortable to wear and above all; the size adjustment is done using a "drawstring" passed through the beret's hem.
How to adjust your beret to your head size
To adjust the universal beret, simply tighten or loosen the cord and tie a knot. You may have noticed a small sewn knot on the leather or faux leather headband. This is actually a remnant of this practice that has been abandoned by other beret manufacturers.

Bonjour, le beret en 8,5 pouces est un très petit béret mais pour adulte. Nous le faisons pour certain client qui souhaite un petit beret. Il peut aussi s'adapter au enfant mais il est bien fait pour les adultes car nous le vendons pour des clients en boutique. Par contre; il ne faut pas s'attendre à avoir un beret large mais plus un beret style militaire. Cordialement Traclet
