Shepherd's umbrella Made in France.
Handmade as in the 19th century, this shepherd's umbrella is made in France. It is made with reed ribs and thick 100% cotton fabric (sometimes called squad umbrella or customs officer's umbrella).
Technical Specifications: 9 reed ribs of 75 cm, Ø of 1.50 m on top and 1.30 m underneath, wooden shaft and handle, hem finishing on edges. 100% cotton fabric traditional weaving.
Traditionally rustic, the shepherd's umbrella is nonetheless urban.
Guaranteed authentic product made in France; high quality.
In the past, the umbrella fabric was made of heavy cotton and had to be exposed to rain once or twice to become completely waterproof. Only then was the umbrella ready to face the changing weather of the Pyrenees combining rain, sun, wind, thunder...
It therefore protects from everything. It is so solid that it is passed down from generation to generation. Our umbrellas respect this tradition of work that resists and lasts.
Its size allows it to perfectly play its role as a host. It is the ultimate high-end umbrella.
The shepherd's umbrella is a work of art. It is now displayed in museums but it is above all a valuable object, not to say luxurious.
