Originally, the wool felt hat is made from sheep's wool. These wool strands constitute the raw material of this headwear.

Rather rough to the touch, it is less shiny and especially less soft than fur felt. Very robust, wool felt is insulating and resistant but however not well suited for high temperatures.

Please note, despite its water resistance this hat is not suitable for heavy rain! The wool felt hat is not waterproof, but thanks to modern processes like vitafelt from Stetson, it can become both waterproof and foldable.
