How to rent your hat

1. Purpose of the rental
The rental of a hat gives the renter the right to make normal use of the borrowed item. The item must be returned in the same condition as it was rented: when signing the rental contract, the renter ___________ and the lessor "Chapellerie Traclet" Maison Traclet commits to providing a hat in new condition and it must be returned in good condition after the rental.

2. Rental rates
The rates are applicable according to the defined formulas:
- "Weekly" formula: rental from Tuesday to Tuesday at 25 euros (the return period must not exceed one week after use).
The following payment methods are accepted: cash and checks, credit card, PayPal.
"Chapellerie Traclet" reserves the right to modify its rates at any time, respecting the 30-day information period.

3. Security deposit
For all rentals, a security deposit is required and essential for any contract signing. The deposit (by check only) is the amount of a new hat. The deposit check is not cashed; it is only kept by the company "Chapellerie Traclet" as a guarantee on the rented items. The security deposit is returned when the item is returned and declared undamaged by "Chapellerie Traclet" or the dry cleaner.
In case of visible stains, damage to ornaments, perfume residue, "La Chapellerie Traclet" provides for a flat-rate compensation of 15 euros for cleaning. You also have the option of having the item cleaned by a specialized dry cleaner at your own expense.
In the absence of a dispute, "Chapellerie Traclet" must, within three working days following the return of the items, return the deposit along with your paid invoice.

4. Deposit commitment in case of damage
In case of irreparable damage during a rental, rendering the hat unusable as such, "Chapellerie Traclet" will be obliged to cash the entire deposit corresponding to the damaged item. If the damage is of lesser extent and can be repaired, "Chapellerie Traclet" and the hat renter will agree on the amount of the deposit retained by "Chapellerie Traclet", based on professional quotes established by each party (seamstresses, dry cleaners...).

5. Late returns
Penalties will be deducted for each day of delay. These penalties will be withheld from the deposit, for an amount of 2 euros including tax per item and per day of delay, starting from the first working day following the agreed return date.

6. Handling of items
Under no circumstances can the items be modified in any way. Sewing is prohibited. The use of safety pins or other similar elements is tolerated as long as it does not damage the hat in any way; in the case of sensitive fabrics such as silk, organza, hemp... the use of any pins or needles is prohibited.
