The "deux bonjours" or "biche tout de suite" hat. This straw hat originated in the Bourbonnais region.

In the Bourbonnais region, the " chapeau à deux bonjours " is a hat worn by women over an embroidered white muslin headdress with reinforced edges. It's made of plaited straw, adorned with velvet ribbons and supported by a fine straw braid.
This ladies' hat is originally lined with blue or red fabric. In this case, we can make it extra to order.
The hat consists of a small round skullcap in the middle, connecting two scrolls. The first is lowered at the front to frame the face; the second is raised at the back.
It's also known as a "biche tout de suite" hat or a "bige tout de suite" hat, as this women's headgear offers the possibility of kissing without putting it on.
Oral tradition suggests that this hat was introduced from Italy following the wars that broke out at the end of the duchy.
In fact, its earliest form is said to be very close to that shown in a drawing by Michelangelo.

This hat has a very original shape; it has become the symbol of the Bourbonnais region, although it was worn more generally from Moulins to Saint Pourçain sur Souile. Unlike the southern regions, the term Bé is used.
This hat is also called 'Biche tout de suite' or 'Bige tout de suite', because it allows you to kiss without taking off the hat - very practical!
Other names have also been given to it, such as bonnet en cor de chasse, chapeau à bascule or chapeau à Batelet.
