Please note that this wide-brimmed hat is not foldable. The panama hat is often thought of as a hat that can withstand anything and is foldable, but all true professionals will warn you against this. Indeed, in our latitudes, the panama is made from a natural and living fiber that needs a humid environment to stay flexible. It should not be left to dry out (on the rear shelf of a car, that's a no-no).
Moreover, the specific shapes of the wide-brimmed hat are treated, if you roll it or crush it, you will lose its shape. However, it is possible to restore a deformed hat using an iron and a damp cloth. But this is a delicate operation.
As for stains, they can be treated with a baby wipe or Fuller's earth.
