A genuine claque hat, also known as a Gibius hat, made from imitation satin fabric. It's the magic hat par excellence, crushing and resuming its shape without a single crease in the time it takes to "clack" on the brim. To achieve this prodigy, it uses an invisible metal structure and 100% synthetic silk, handmade in Germany. The brim is edged, the upper side of the brim is structured, and the hat is lined with a high-quality inner band.
Still considered a symbol of distinction at the end of the 19th century, the top hat even became part of the uniform of policemen, letter carriers and railwaymen.
