Waterproofing spray for hats and caps. Hat care is the key to prolonging the life of your hat, so we recommend different techniques for treating your favorite headgear, depending on how you use it. This spray protects against rain and stains.
How do I waterproof a felt hat?
If you have a wool felt hat, most are not waterproof.
You always have the option of applying a shoe waterproofing spray such as Colonil. To do this, test the cap to make sure the waterproofing doesn't leave any stains. The cap is the top part of the hat and in this case, for the test, do it inside the cap.
When the test is conclusive, you can spray the hat at least 20 cm away and leave it to dry without rubbing. This way, your chef's hat will be waterproof.

Thenlet your headgeardry at room temperature.
It's best to repeat the operation regularly to ensure constantwaterproofing.
Be sure to do this regularly if you often use it in the rain.
