The Red Army, in Russian (or more precisely Rabotche-krestianskaïa Krasnaïa Armia - the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army) is the army established in the former Russian Empire by the new Bolshevik power after the October Revolution to fight the counter-revolution of the Whites supported by foreign powers (France, United Kingdom, Czechoslovakia, United States, Japan). The term red has revolutionary connotations and refers to blood.
One year after the end of World War II, in 1946, this army became known as the Soviet Army (Soviétskaïa Armia), until the dissolution of the Soviet Union in December 1991. 60% cotton 40% polyester with its Soviet red star marking.

Très belle chapka, confortable, chaude et bien enveloppante. L'insigne est amovible pour gagner en discrétion, mais c'est également un peu ce qui fait le "charme" de la chapka alors il y aura autant de pour que de contre. Ne pas hésiter à prendre une taille au-dessus car l'épaisseur du capitonnage intérieur est conséquente.
