The waxed cotton develops its own character over time and with use of your headwear, thus giving a unique hat. For this lightweight version of the Outback hat, we put a "double pass" of wax on it to make it more waterproof. A quick spin in the dryer during each wash will rejuvenate its finish.

- Machine wash on delicate cycle or hand wash in cold water, reshape and air dry. Every few washes, tumble dry on low heat for a few minutes to rejuvenate the wax finish. Machine wash on delicate cycle or hand wash. Reshape by hand. Air dry. Do not bleach. Wash the hat frequently to avoid sweat stains. After washing, let it dry slowly for a few minutes to rejuvenate the wax finish.
