This is the thinnest felt that can be made with excellent strength. It is still made using the old 19th-century know-how. The best bristles are selected from the chest. The resulting felt is then dyed. Once optenu, it is scraped with a sharkskin fixed around a wheel to bring out the longest hairs.
The homburg is a stiff hat with a fold along the length of the crown and no pinches on the front, the homburg has a sharply raised brim all the way round. Homburgs are typically made from wool felt or hair with grosgrain and an optional feather. The homburg hat was popularized by Edward VII after visiting Germany and bringing back a hat of this design. It is one of the oldest hats and was worn by many politicians and diplomats in the mid-twentieth century. The "Godfather" hat is also mentioned, having been popular in many legendary Hollywood bandit and mafia films. The biggest names in the hip-hop world brought it back into style in the late 90s and it's still popular with many of today's musicians and artists.

La qualité de ce chapeau est bluffante ; il est léger, doux à tomber, le procédé "mélusine" le rend vraiment unique, il est très agréable à porter et ne passe pas inaperçu. Je rêvais d'un hambourg aussi beau, il surpasse mon Robert Heath. Voilà un couvre-chef qui vaut largement son prix et l'attente pour sa fabrication.
