This Alpine-style beret model was manufactured before the industrialization of berets until the early 20th century.
This headwear was abandoned because it is very delicate to mass-produce due to the fact that it is impossible to store it between manufacturing stages without causing unsightly wrinkles and marks.
Only the Beret Manufacture offers this model; it's a real shame because it is extremely comfortable to wear and above all, the size adjustment is done by means of a "drawstring" passed through the hem of the beret.
How to adjust your alpine hunter beret to your head size
To adjust the universal beret, simply tighten or loosen the drawstring and tie a knot. You may have noticed a small sewn knot on the leather or faux leather headband. This is actually a vestige of this practice that has been abandoned by other beret manufacturers.
