This high-end Basque beret is made of pure virgin wool from Merino sheep from the Provence region (Crau).
All the French expertise of Flechet hat-making since 1859 is used to produce a high-quality French beret.
It's the sister company Laroue (Mazamet) that collects this wool from breeders, it is then washed at Lavage du Bascaud (Mazamet) and spun in the Black Mountain.
The Merino wool is the finest wool produced in France (20 to 30 microns).
The beret is then manufactured in the Basque Country from this yarn.
The traceability is perfect, Flechet controls the manufacturing process from the beginning to the end of the chain, and the Basque beret is entirely made in France.
