A beret of the alpine (12 inches equivalent to 33,6cm) made in the basque country. It is also made off 100% wool water repellant and have a kind of lining insisde the beret.
A genuine alpine beret with a weigh of 145g, water repellant, a 12 inches diameter avalaible from 53 to 65 cm.
This beret is the official beret of the French alpine military. Contrary to the basque beret, it is larger in order to offer the best protection against all differents kind of weather like the sun but especially the rain and the snow. That's why the french alpine military had adpoted it since 1891, a decision mad by the war ministry.
