Genuine Southerner cap without insignia, made in France, is an exact replica of Civil War caps.
This conflict pitted the northern and southern states of the United States against each other. In order to stand out from the other regiments, the Southern regiment had to wear a gray uniform. The Southern cap was therefore gray, as it was an integral part of the uniform. Even after the conflict, soldiers who had been part of the Southern Regiment wore gray civilian clothes.
Made from a waterproof peacoat fabric, the Southern cap offers high design quality and elegant finishes. Indeed, the gray color of the cap adds a sober yet colorful touch, and you'll notice that the visor is varnished black, adding a touch of elegance to your outfit.
