The original boater; the classic boater has a navy blue and red ribbon band on a straw hat base with a flat, low crown and flat brim.
This headwear is made in Italy with traditional braided straw and an inner grosgrain with leather band. Always associated with summer days on a boat on the river.
A genuine high-quality boater made of double thickness sewn straw. It also features a navy blue & red ribbon, as well as a thick inner grosgrain made of salpa (reconstituted leather) to facilitate wearing. The boater is a straw hat with narrow brims and a flat crown; fashionable in the early 20th century, appreciated by cyclists and sportsmen in general.
This exceptional headwear, also known as Skimmer or Basher, was in its time the quintessential straw hat.
It is often associated with jazz groups such as Barber Shop Quartet or rock bands like The Like.
This straw hat has a shallow crown and sits high on the head, we suggest buying a size smaller than you normally would so that it fits on your head.

Bel article dans l'ensemble mais ne correspondant pas en réalité à la photo de présentation du canotier et à sa description sur le site Traclet !!! En effet , la couleur et l'aspect de la paille ne correspondent pas elle est plus foncée et moins uniforme dans sa teinte et sa texture , le ruban gros grain du pourtours de la calotte annoncé bleu et rouge moyens est en réalité noir et rouge foncé teintes beaucoup moins gay et flatteuses. Enfin le noeud du ruban ne correspond pas non plus à la photo de présentation monté de biais et non droit dans le prolongement du ruban !!!

Chapeau parfait et de qualité. Livraison en temps et heure, super. Une petite suggestion: améliorer l’emballage, protecteur mais pas chic ( papier de soie tout froissé et tirebouchonné) ... mais pas grave sur le fond !
