If rain has wet your felt hat, whether it's wool felt or fur felt, it risks becoming deformed. Don't panic, you just need to be proactive and ensure proper drying so that it maintains all its quality and elegance.

For this, first shake it carefully then stuff it with tissue paper or a sponge cloth, taking care to maintain its shape. Do not place it in an environment that is too warm and keep it away from radiators. When it is completely dry, brush it vigorously in a counterclockwise direction.

If you haven't already, also consider waterproofing your headwear to limit damage. Even when waterproofed, your hat will still always need drying performed according to the rules of the art!
