Ushanka - Cleaning and maintenance

The rabbit has a silky and shiny coat known as angora after shearing. This type of fur is the least expensive, but above all the trendiest for winter. The rabbit fur ushanka is becoming an alternative to synthetic fur models, as the feel is very different and the natural origin of the fur is preferred by ushanka wearers.

Tips for maintaining your ushanka

As soon as you purchase it, we recommend putting your ushanka in the freezer overnight to set the fur on the material and prevent it from shedding onto your jacket.

When the ushanka is damp or wet, let it dry at room temperature and away from a radiator, to prevent the ushanka from shrinking.

The main concern with a genuine rabbit ushanka will be the maintenance of the fur, which should only be done by a specialist in real furs. Also, make sure to choose a coat that doesn't attract fur.

If you want to clean your rabbit ushanka yourself: Use your mildest shampoo, pour a few drops on a sponge to gently clean the stains before rinsing with cold water. For drying, let your ushanka air dry before wearing it again without any issues.
