This is an original form of cap that has two visors and earflaps that fold down on the sides. This cap translates from the English literally "deer tracker". The sherlock holmes cap is named after the famous detective novel character, created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
This hero, assisted by Dr. Watson, always wears a cap with a visor and neck cover called hunting cap or deerstalker.

This cap has been adopted in fashion ever since.
