This natural clay is extra fine, capable of absorbing up to 80% of its weight in water, and was discovered near Montpellier in the small village of Sommières at the beginning of the 19th century.
Be careful not to use it wet or on a wet surface.
How and why Sommières earth
Firstly, from an ecological point of view. Indeed, trichloroethylene is no longer used because it causes diseases. And secondly, this product is effective on many surfaces and not just on hats.
Did you just make a grease or red wine stain? Sommières earth is the solution!
It allows you to remove greasy stains (butter, gasoline, oil, makeup...) without leaving rings, as well as fragile surfaces (textiles, upholstery fabrics, carpets, leather, marble, wood...) impregnated with wine or organic matter.
Without treatment or refining, this earth is non-toxic for humans and the environment.
How to use it
Generously sprinkle Sommières earth over the entire stained area to cover it well. Let it work for several hours or even overnight for stubborn stains.
Then gently rub or brush to remove the Sommières earth and vacuum to remove the excess.
