Prestige Natural Panama Hat - Borsalino

A Fedora-shaped hat entirely made of natural Panama straw, a highly elegant headwear for the summer season, manufactured by the very prestigious Borsalino brand. A completely redesigned look in a style "so chic" that will go well with both casual and more formal outfits. In a natural color, it features a large fabric grosgrain in a vintage style in black that perfectly matches with the rest of the hat, allowing to elegantly highlight the crown. The outer grosgrain is finely knotted on the side with a nice hatmaker's knot on which the brand name is affixed embroidered in gold thread. Made of 100% natural Panama straw, it will effectively protect you from the sun's rays, while providing your head with maximum freshness. To provide you with maximum comfort, the hat also has an internal comfort band. A hat of great quality, with very fine finishing details that can only bring you complete satisfaction.

Each piece manufactured by the Italian house Borsalino is unique, the Prestige hat is a very fine hand-woven Panama straw hat. Borsalino uses only the finest materials, hare fur for its felts and Montecristi straw (Ecuador) for its Panama hats. This one, in bleached straw, is of absolute lightness. Its shape is that of the most beautiful Borsalinos. It is trimmed with a black silk grosgrain. The toquilla palm contains a certain degree of moisture, and it's the thickness of the latter that gives it its flexibility. When the hat is exposed to a moisture-saturated atmosphere (example: beach without sun), the palm absorbs excess moisture and expels it when the atmosphere is drier. This process weakens its structure over time. That's why the first models with a wider palm do not last more than two years with significant climate changes. Extra-fine cuencas and Montecristis do not have this problem because they use a finer toquila palm, and a denser weave!

Our usage tips for a hat that lasts longer!

With this type of hat, you should avoid it coming into contact with rain. Indeed, as the straw is very absorbent, once dry, it can show stains and weaken the hat.
Do not leave your hat in a closed place in direct sunlight (like the rear window of a car). The fiber dries too quickly and the hat may break over time.
Avoid leaving the hat for too long in a hot, dry, and unventilated place, as a straw hat needs some moisture to stay in good condition. Otherwise, the straw can become brittle.
You can easily iron your hat with steam, like a shirt, always protecting it with a dry cloth. It's a good exercise and it maintains its original shape over time.
Avoid at all costs PINCHING the top of the hat when putting it on or taking it off. Use the appropriate gesture to handle it: hold it by the brim when putting it on or taking it off!
