Guerra 1855 is a family business that has been passed down from father to son. Today, it is managed by the 5th generation of the founder and continues to exercise all its expertise

Created in 1855 when the city of Borgosesia belonged to the Kingdom of Savoy and Sardinia, the company evolved at the foot of the Alps. The region was then the land of wool and textiles. At the beginning of the industrial era, the first spinning mills appeared. The wool felt industry then became one of the first industries in Italy. Fifteen years later, of the three wool felt hat manufacturing factories in the region, only one remained, which bought out the other two. The main production of Guerra 1855 at its beginnings was focused on felt hats for the Savoyard army as well as Italian hats. It also produced hats for Alpine hunters.

One hundred and forty-four years later, production has evolved significantly and is anchored in the trend of fashion hats, both for men and women (50/50) with sales throughout Europe (85%) as well as in the U.S.A. and Japan.
