Hanna Hats is a famous Irish company based in the town of Donegal. Specializing in cap and hat manufacturing, the company designs and handcrafts its products. With ancestral know-how, Hanna Hats finds its uniqueness in its patchwork creations, true one-of-a-kind pieces. The manufacturing process follows various steps, which guarantee impeccable quality and a unique model:
The company selects different patterns of tweed fabric, manufactured in Donegal : brown, green, red, patterned or plain fabric, there's everything! These are cut into squares of equal size, resulting in pieces of different colors and patterns.
Then, these squares are assembled together and sewn by hand, to create a rectangle of tweed fabric composed of different pieces.
This tweed rectangle is then pressed, for a more uniform and ironed finish. Any protruding threads are also trimmed.
The next step is to trace the cutting pattern on the fabric, using a template. The patchwork is then cut out and assembled by hand.
Finally, the cap (or hat) is steamed for an impeccable finish. It's clear that with this process, each cap, hat or scarf is obviously unique. No two pieces are alike, as they are all the result of a different assembly. If you want a unique headwear or scarf, the patchwork models from Hanna Hats are made for you. Each responds to a different combination of colors and patterns, for a result you won't find on any other product. We invite you to discover our many Hanna Hats patchwork models on the Traclet boutique. You can find these model shapes on the shop by clicking on the image links. However, keep in mind that each piece is different, so the photo of the article may differ from the final product. The ordered cap will thus be of the same shape as the image, but not with the same pieces of fabric.
