Fur hat/ushanka - Cleaning and maintenance

While fur provides a most elegant look, it nevertheless requires meticulous care to maintain its splendor. We have compiled here some maintenance tips for simple and effective cleaning:

Basic cleaning

Stuff the fur hat or ushanka with tissue paper then clean it using a clean cloth soaked in turpentine and well wrung out. Then rinse the product with a damp cloth. Finally, gently dry the hat with a dry terry towel.

Fur that smells bad or is infested with parasites

The fur hat must be thoroughly cleaned with a brush, then sprinkle it with baking soda. Let the product work overnight. The next day, brush it to remove the product.
