Inspector Murdoch hat
The homburg hat is a stiff hat with a crease along the length of the crown and no pinches on the front. The brim is sharply curled all around.
Homburgs are typically made of wool felt or fur felt with a grosgrain ribbon and sometimes feature an optional feather.
The homburg hat was popularized by Edward VII after visiting Germany and bringing back a hat of this style. It is one of the oldest hat styles and was worn by many politicians and diplomats in the mid-twentieth century.
