Laulhere was founded in 1840, its manufacturing is located at the foot of the Pyrenees, near Pau in the town of Oloron Sainte-Marie. At the height of its glory, the brand boasted a dozen beret factories. This region is recognized as the "cradle of the beret".
The gray Harris Tweed Germain beret has received the Living Heritage Company label - Guaranteed French Origin.
