How do you clean a straw hat?

A straw hat needs maintenance to keep it in good condition. It should be brushed regularly to remove dust and dirt that gets into the straw. For stains, you can use a special care product for straw hats that does not alter the material and leaves no chemical residue.

Tips for cleaning a straw hat

1. Wipe with a cloth of soapy water (e.g. marshmallow soap) or a baby wipe.

2. Clean with a cloth previously soaked in water and wrung out.

Note: do not wet your straw hat too much or the straw will turn brown and the hat will shrink.
